Overview
Pinealon is a synthetic tripeptide described by the sequence Glu-Asp-Arg, abbreviated EDR. It appears in bioregulator research focused on cellular responses to stress. The short sequence identifies the experimental peptide; it does not establish a clinically validated cognitive or anti-aging product.
Community Use
PeptideDosages.com publishes Pinealon protocol material. Community interest centers on cognition and protection from oxidative stress. Those goals are broader than the cellular endpoints in the original research, and they should be described as proposed uses rather than established patient benefits.
Doses, Durations & Cycles
Informal biohacking protocols and published regimens. Attributed website reports for education, not medical recommendations. Multiple publications document circulation; they do not establish a safe dose or validate a cycle.
| Route / formulation | Dose / reported phases | Frequency | Duration / break | Notes and source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Subcutaneous | 1–5 mg daily | Daily | 10–20 days Break: 3–6 months | Published informal biohacking claim PeptideWiki |
| Subcutaneous | Its introductory example reports 5–10 mg daily | Daily | 10–20 days Break: Not stated | Published informal biohacking claim KiloBio |
Important context: Publishers disagree even on introductory amounts. No average or safe maximum is inferred.

An FDA-approved Pinealon regimen is not established. Community courses are not supported by a verified clinical dosing standard in the source set. The preserved chart documents protocol-source claims; cellular concentrations cannot determine a personal dose, treatment duration, or an interval between courses.
Research Findings
The 2011 original paper examined rat cerebellar neurons, rat neutrophils, and PC12 cells under oxidative-stress conditions. It reported changes involving reactive oxygen species, cell viability, and signaling. These are preclinical experiments, not evidence that administering Pinealon improves memory or functioning in patients.
U.S. Approval & Access
No FDA-approved Pinealon patient medicine was identified in the verified sources. A research supplier’s listing does not establish a clinical pathway. Any legitimate study needs its own oversight and characterized product, and availability in another country does not by itself resolve US patient-use requirements.
What It Does in the Body
The experiment considered cellular stress responses and ERK-associated signaling. These findings help explain a research rationale, but cellular protection under a chosen stressor is not the same as restoring a human brain. The biological setting and the measured response should remain attached to any mechanistic claim. For the uses discussed here, reliable clinical onset, peak benefit, and duration are not established. Route-specific human peak exposure and persistence cannot be inferred from community schedules or a laboratory response.
Benefits & Reported Experiences
The cited paper measured laboratory outcomes rather than cognitive performance, daily function, or disease progression in treated people. Claims about sharper memory or reversing aging therefore exceed that study. A future human study would need relevant functional measures, a comparator, and sufficient follow-up to distinguish a treatment effect.
Side Effects & Risks
The source does not characterize human adverse-event frequency, repeated-use safety, or interactions. It also does not demonstrate a particular human toxicity rate. The useful conclusion is that clinical safety remains uncertain, especially when a marketed formulation differs from the material used in the laboratory.
Delivery Options
The experimental work does not validate each oral, nasal, or injectable preparation promoted elsewhere. Delivery method changes exposure, and the same name is not evidence of equivalent absorption. This entry does not provide preparation, administration, or conversion instructions for a research product.
Product Quality & Storage
Confirm that a proposed material is the actual EDR tripeptide and that evidence concerns the same preparation. Identity testing and a product’s patient-use quality requirements are different questions. Neither a short peptide sequence nor a purity figure demonstrates cognitive benefit or establishes lawful clinical availability. Storage must follow the authorized finished product’s labeling or an approved study protocol; temperatures and beyond-use times cannot be inferred from research-vial guidance.
Combinations & Interactions
Combining Pinealon with other cognitive or bioregulator products would require separate evaluation. A laboratory stress-response experiment cannot validate a combination or establish that benefits add together. Reviewing one treatment at a time also helps a clinician interpret an apparent change and its possible cause.
Talking With Your Provider
If memory, attention, or brain fog is the concern, an appointment can focus on the symptom and its effect on daily life. Useful questions are: What could be causing this? Which established options fit my situation? Is there a legitimate research opportunity, and what would participation involve?
