Overview
Tesamorelin plus ipamorelin is an informal combination of two growth-hormone-related agents. A tesamorelin product has a specific FDA-approved indication, while adding ipamorelin creates a different, unapproved combination. The evidence for the licensed single-agent product should not be used to imply that a premixed wellness blend is approved or interchangeable.
Community Use
PeptideDosages publishes a tesamorelin/ipamorelin blend protocol and Peptidepedia describes tesamorelin separately. These are useful records of community interest, not evidence that the combination produces better outcomes. The single-agent profile and a combined vial schedule answer different questions. Doses, Durations & Cycles
Informal biohacking protocols and published regimens. Attributed website reports for education, not medical recommendations. Multiple publications document circulation; they do not establish a safe dose or validate a cycle.
| Route / formulation | Dose / reported phases | Frequency | Duration / break | Notes and source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Both subcutaneous | Weeks 1–2: tesamorelin 1 mg + ipamorelin 100 mcg. Maintenance: tesamorelin 1–2 mg + ipamorelin 200–300 mcg. | Induction once daily before sleep. Maintenance once or twice daily. | Typical course 8–12 weeks; phase table labels induction weeks 1–2 and maintenance weeks 3–11. Break: At least four weeks; table labels weeks 12–15 as washout. | Published informal biohacking claim Active Biolabs Daily/per-dose ambiguity: summary specifies tesamorelin 1–2 mg/day, while maintenance lists the same amount with once/twice-daily frequency. Do not resolve this into a higher daily total. |
| Subcutaneous | Tesamorelin 1 mg + ipamorelin 300 mcg per dose, explicitly stated for its 10:3 combination vial. | Nightly, five nights on/two off. | Eight weeks; optional continuation through weeks 9–12. Break: Four weeks | Published informal biohacking claim The Modern Health Report Its working protocol explicitly gives both component amounts. Separate conversion-table amounts are not additional prescribed phases. No reconstitution or component arithmetic was inferred here. |
Important context: Two publishers give explicit tesamorelin/ipamorelin schedules; one source has a material daily-versus-per-dose inconsistency. The 10:3 fixed blend and independently adjusted doses are different formulations. Preserve those distinctions and do not translate these reports into clinical approval or safe dosing. Active Biolabs is ambiguous: its summary describes tesamorelin 1–2 mg per day while later phases pair the same amount with once- or twice-daily wording. This does not support inferring a larger daily total.

No validated human wellness dose or on/off cycle is established for this pairing. Approved tesamorelin formulations have product-specific instructions, and ipamorelin research cannot simply be added to them. A total blend amount also conceals individual constituent exposure unless the ratio is explicitly identified.
Research Findings
The EGRIFTA prescribing evidence concerns tesamorelin for reducing excess abdominal fat in adults with HIV-associated lipodystrophy. FDA’s separate ipamorelin review does not establish the proposed combination. Evidence for each ingredient must remain attached to its indication, route, and product. EGRIFTA WR label; FDA ipamorelin review.
U.S. Approval & Access
Approval of EGRIFTA does not approve an ipamorelin blend or general weight-loss use. The combination and the unapproved constituent require separate legal review; a prescription request does not guarantee a lawful pathway. A compounding or advisory listing also should not be interpreted as FDA approval.
What It Does in the Body
Tesamorelin has GHRH-related activity, while ipamorelin stimulates secretagogue pathways. Overlapping effects on growth-hormone signaling create a research hypothesis, not established synergy. Reliable onset, peak clinical benefit, and duration for the combined wellness program are unknown; a single-agent pharmacology result cannot supply them.
Benefits & Reported Experiences
A reduction in a specific abdominal-fat measure for the approved indication is not equivalent to general obesity treatment or better recovery in healthy people. Claims about the blend need human combination endpoints. Hormone-marker changes alone cannot establish an improved quality of life or a favorable long-term plan.
Side Effects & Risks
The tesamorelin label includes IGF-related and glucose-related precautions and other important warnings. An additional secretagogue may change exposure, but its combination safety is not established here. A familiar approved ingredient does not make all mixtures containing it safe or adequately studied.
Delivery Options
EGRIFTA formulations and community blends are different preparations. Product-specific instructions should not be transferred across them, and this profile does not provide mixing or injection steps. The route used in separate ipamorelin clinical research also cannot automatically validate the community blend route.
Product Quality & Storage
Identify the exact tesamorelin formulation, added constituent, ratio, and lawful dispensing basis. Follow only the verified label for an authorized finished product; do not guess storage rules for an unapproved blend. A purity certificate cannot establish equivalence to EGRIFTA or prove combination effectiveness.
Combinations & Interactions
This pairing is already an unvalidated stack; adding another GH-related agent does not solve its evidence gaps. Each proposed addition requires interaction and indication review. A person considering the blend should disclose all endocrine medicines and goals rather than assume more pathway activation means better care.
Talking With Your Provider
Discuss the actual concern—abdominal-fat changes, recovery, fatigue, or a diagnosed endocrine condition—with a clinician. Ask how the evidence relates to you and whether an established option fits. A consultation should explain appropriate alternatives without promising the tesamorelin/ipamorelin combination.
