Energy · Clarity · Thoughtful evaluation

Clinical consultations

When fatigue gets in the way, start with a clearer picture.

Feeling constantly tired or mentally foggy can make ordinary days harder than they should be. Bring those concerns to an assessment that starts with you. Learn what NAD+ is, what injection research actually shows and how it compares with other options your clinician may consider. A personal plan begins with understanding the problem.

The context behind the conversation

NAD+ & Energy Consultation.
A clearer overview.

Clinical decisions require assessment.

Current status

Consultation concept. Injectable NAD+ is not FDA-approved; Seine Bio sourcing is unconfirmed.

01 / HOW IT WORKS

The biological question.

NAD+ is a coenzyme used in cellular energy metabolism. It is not a peptide. Its role in normal biology helps explain scientific interest, but does not show that an injection improves a person’s energy or concentration. Injected NAD+, oral NAD precursors such as NR or NMN, and related chemical forms are different interventions. Evidence for one cannot simply stand in for evidence for another.

02 / WHERE IT COMES FROM

The story behind the name.

NAD has long been understood as a biological coenzyme. Its newer position in wellness marketing has outpaced evidence for specific patient outcomes from injections. FDA’s May 2026 list places NAD in Category 1 under evaluation, while a particular NAD disodium salt trihydrate appears in Category 3. Exact chemical identity and pharmacy pathway therefore matter. FDA’s January 2026 GenoGenix warning also distinguishes restrictions on a 503B outsourcing product from the 503A interim framework.

Evidence before expectations

What the research
can tell you.

Explore the source material →

A 2019 pilot studied short-term metabolite changes during intravenous NAD+ infusion in eleven men, eight receiving NAD+ and three saline. It did not establish lasting benefits for fatigue, cognition, weight loss or lifespan. It also does not validate a subcutaneous treatment schedule. Noom advertises a clinician-reviewed NAD+ program; the relevant question for your own care remains whether an actual intervention is appropriate, supported for your purpose and lawfully sourced.

A finding for one population, condition or formulation does not establish the same result for another.

A useful conversation includes the limits

Know the concerns.
Understand the criteria.

These are key considerations, not a complete safety assessment.

Risks & uncertainties

What deserves attention.

  • FDA reports severe chills, shaking, vomiting and fatigue after some NAD+ injections, including events requiring medical treatment.
  • Excessive bacterial endotoxins and unsuitable raw ingredients can make a sterile injection dangerous.
  • Noom lists symptoms including flushing, nausea, headache, cramping and dizziness in its own safety information.
  • A clinician must review relevant health conditions and other treatments; competitor screening rules are not an approved drug label.

Clinical & regulatory context

Where this pathway fits.

  • Describe fatigue and fog in the context of your medical history and daily life.
  • An assessment may identify a different approach, further investigation or a referral.
  • Confirm exact API, pharmacy category, state permissions and sterile quality controls before discussing supply.
  • Do not treat Category 1 status as FDA approval or unconditional permission for every pharmacy.

Clear answers before you decide

Your questions.
A clearer starting point.

Take a moment to understand the practical differences, limits and next steps.

Does NAD+ treat brain fog?

The cited infusion pilot did not demonstrate sustained improvement in brain fog. Cellular biology and short-term metabolite measurements do not establish symptom relief. An evaluation can help put concentration concerns into a broader clinical context.

Is NAD+ a peptide?

No. It is a coenzyme. Grouping it with peptide programs in wellness marketing does not change its chemistry or create a shared regulatory status.

Is every compounded NAD+ product treated the same?

No. FDA’s category list distinguishes chemical forms, and 503A and 503B pathways differ. The actual API and preparation matter. A dispensing arrangement for this service has not been confirmed. Ask the care team about current availability before payment.

Does optional membership include NAD+?

No. Optional membership is $20/month for product savings and qualifying shipping benefits; medication, labs and clinical services are priced separately. Ask about actual availability before making a purchase based on this intervention.

Does optional membership include this medication?

No. The optional $20/month membership provides product savings and qualifying shipping benefits. Medication, labs, clinical services and therapy are separately priced. A free account lets you request review without paid membership. Existing plans and purchased session credits retain their original terms.
