Overview

CJC-1295 is a growth-hormone-releasing hormone analog studied for prolonged endocrine effects. Product naming matters: the long-acting DAC compound studied in the original human trials is not interchangeable with products informally called “CJC-1295 without DAC.” Understanding that distinction helps prevent a short-acting formulation’s schedule from being attributed to a different molecule.

Community Use

PeptideDosages publishes a DAC-specific informal protocol, and Peptidepedia provides a performance-oriented profile. These publisher descriptions should retain their compound and formulation labels. A popular pairing or alias does not demonstrate that products have equivalent duration or clinical outcomes.

Doses, Durations & Cycles

The chart separates human-study regimens from informal amounts. The original randomized studies measured pharmacokinetics and hormonal effects in healthy adults. Their assigned exposures are research context, not a consumer bodybuilding cycle. The table must not collapse DAC and non-DAC claims into one starting amount or maximum.

Research Findings

The two placebo-controlled studies lasted 28 and 49 days and enrolled healthy adults aged 21–61. They examined GH, IGF-1 and drug exposure. That establishes a human endocrine research signal, but the trials were not designed to prove improved athletic performance, sleep quality, injury recovery or longer healthy lifespan.

U.S. Approval & Access

The sources reviewed do not establish an FDA-approved CJC-1295 product. FDA’s compounding safety discussion identifies limited clinical data and important concerns. The lawful route for any specific product must be checked by the clinical team; an informal name, consultation or research label does not itself establish patient access.

What It Does in the Body

The studied DAC design prolongs GHRH-related activity. Its estimated half-life was 5.8–8.1 days, with GH and IGF-1 elevations lasting days after a single research exposure. Those hormonal durations are not validated onset, peak or lasting benefit for fitness or sleep goals. They also do not describe a non-DAC product’s exposure.

Benefits & Reported Experiences

The primary trials demonstrated sustained changes in hormone measurements. They did not establish a predictable gain in muscle, recovery or wellbeing, and a larger biomarker change is not automatically a better health outcome. A clinical assessment would need to consider whether the person’s actual condition calls for endocrine treatment at all.

Side Effects & Risks

FDA identifies reports including increased heart rate and systemic vasodilatory reactions, alongside immune and peptide-characterization concerns. The short early trials cannot resolve every long-term endocrine risk or combination effect. A complete assessment should consider the actual product and patient rather than repeat a small trial’s tolerability statement as universal reassurance.

Delivery Options

The original human work used subcutaneous administration of the studied molecule. That does not validate all products marketed under similar names or another route. This article supplies no preparation, injection technique or self-use regimen; the distinction between the tested substance and a marketplace alias remains part of interpreting the evidence.

Product Quality & Storage

Confirm exact identity, DAC status and formulation before discussing any claim. A certificate for a similarly named material does not establish equivalence to the trial medicine. No verified patient-use storage specification is supplied here. A lawful responsible program must provide its own product conditions instead of an assumed generic peptide shelf life.

Combinations & Interactions

CJC-1295 is frequently paired informally with ipamorelin or other secretagogues. That combination is distinct from the original CJC-1295 trial and adds separate exposure and safety questions. A shared growth-hormone theme does not supply a validated stack, and this article does not offer combination timing or a dosing ratio.

Talking With Your Provider

If fatigue, sleep, body composition or recovery is the concern, a provider can review the actual symptoms and appropriate evaluation. A hormone-related research discussion should sit within that diagnosis, not substitute for it. The goal is a supported care plan, with no guarantee of a secretagogue prescription, specific peptide or performance outcome.

Questions worth bringing to your appointment.

  • Are there alternatives that address my goal?
  • If treatment is appropriate, what monitoring and follow-up would I need?
  • Could my health history or current medicines change the risks?

A clinician may recommend a different option—or no medication—after assessing your individual circumstances.
