Explore the science of neurologic recovery.

Semax has been investigated in neurologic rehabilitation and neurotrophic signaling. Learn what those studies found and how disease-specific research differs from everyday claims about focus and memory.

This catalog formulation is investigational, not an FDA approved treatment.

How Semax works

Semax is a synthetic ACTH-fragment-related peptide with additional amino acids. Research has examined neurotrophic signaling and responses to neurologic injury; mechanistic markers such as BDNF are not direct proof of better concentration in healthy adults.

Why it’s getting attention

A human stroke-rehabilitation study reported functional and biomarker changes, but it does not establish benefit for healthy people’s memory, productivity or longevity. Intranasal use appears in other disease-specific research; it does not validate this catalog injectable formulation.

Protocol reference at a glance

Reference context, not your prescription. No established patient protocol was identified for this formulation. The chart summarizes research context, not directions for use.

Protocol context for Semax; not personal treatment instructions
Stage What to expect from the evidence
Research setting Time-limited neurologic study courses, not a validated healthy-adult focus or maintenance cycle.
Starting / loading phase No validated routine-care starting or loading dose established for this exact formulation.
Standard dose / maximum No validated standard patient dose or safe maximum established here.
Maintenance / cycles No validated ongoing maintenance or cycling protocol identified.

Presentation & administration

Nasal administration has been investigated in specified neurologic settings. Nasal and injectable products are not dose-equivalent, and a catalog vial must not be treated as a ready-made nasal formulation.

Catalog presentation: Vial / Cartridge / Disposable Injection Pen / Nasal Spray (5 mL). Listed strength options: 5 mg; 10 mg. One catalog unit is one selected presentation—not a box containing every pictured format. Total container content is not a personal dose, and an illustration does not verify an approved route or device.

Risks & common side effects

  • The adverse-effect profile for this exact formulation and route is not well established. Keep a record of symptoms and discuss unexpected headache, dizziness, agitation, sleep changes or mood changes promptly with your clinician.
  • Do not stop or replace established psychiatric or neurologic treatment, or add sedatives or other experimental compounds, based on a peptide marketing claim.

Tell your clinician about new or persistent symptoms and other medicines. Changes to treatment should be clinician-directed.

Other options worth discussing

For brain fog or reduced concentration, assess sleep, mood, medicines and medical causes. After stroke, established specialist treatment and rehabilitation must not be delayed or substituted. “More established” does not mean risk-free or suitable for everyone; a clinician should compare benefits, contraindications and your preferences.

When to seek help

Sudden weakness, speech difficulty, severe new headache, confusion, seizures or loss of consciousness requires emergency assessment; suspected stroke is a 911 emergency.

Finished-product quality, concentration and route require verification. Review allergies, pregnancy, health conditions and other medicines with your clinician.

Do not wait for a portal reply in an emergency. Call 911 or seek emergency care for severe or rapidly worsening symptoms.

A few useful answers

Does a BDNF increase mean better memory for everyone?

No. A biomarker change is not a guaranteed cognitive outcome.

Is this a stroke rescue treatment?

No. Suspected stroke needs 911 emergency care, not a catalog peptide.

Does clinician authorization guarantee access?

No. Clinical appropriateness, lawful availability and a verified finished formulation must each be established. An Rx setting, luxury image or research-series label does not create regulatory approval.
