Overview
GHRP-2, also called pralmorelin, is a synthetic growth hormone-releasing peptide. It belongs to the secretagogue family, which stimulates hormonal signaling rather than supplying growth hormone itself. A diagnostic response can help investigators study a hormone system, but it does not establish that routine exposure improves health, strength, or healthy aging.
Community Use
Peptidepedia emphasizes growth-hormone release and compares GHRP-2 with other secretagogues. PeptideDosages.com provides community protocol material. Recovery and physique claims remain community interpretations here; ranking compounds by a hormone peak does not rank them by proven patient benefit.
Doses, Durations & Cycles
Informal biohacking protocols and published regimens. Attributed website reports for education, not medical recommendations. Multiple publications document circulation; they do not establish a safe dose or validate a cycle.
| Route / formulation | Dose / reported phases | Frequency | Duration / break | Notes and source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Subcutaneous | Weeks 1–2: 100 mcg per dose; 3–4: 150 mcg; 5–8: 200 mcg; 9–12: optional 275 mcg | 1–3 times daily according to its example | 12 weeks Break: Not stated | Published informal biohacking claim Research Protocols |
| Subcutaneous | One example: 100 mcg nightly; another: 100–150 mcg per dose three times daily | Example dependent | 7–10 days Break: 3–4 weeks | Published informal biohacking claim Peptides DNA |
Important context: One publisher's weekly totals conflict with its frequency statements; the table reports per-dose claims only.

No FDA-approved GHRP-2 wellness dose or cycling schedule is established for this page. A table taken from online protocol culture should not become a prescription. Diagnostic investigations, experimental exposures, and repeated use for body composition are different contexts and cannot be merged into one recommended daily routine.
Research Findings
The original ipamorelin comparison study included GHRP-2 in preclinical hormone-response experiments. It is useful for comparing pharmacology, not for asserting a clinical recovery rate. A 2005 controlled human experiment involved seven healthy men and found greater food intake during GHRP-2 exposure than saline. It supports an acute appetite effect, not a long-term recovery benefit or a general safety conclusion.
U.S. Approval & Access
No FDA-approved GHRP-2 finished medicine is established here. FDA flags injection and nasal compounding safety concerns. Overseas diagnostic use does not authorize a US fitness program. Review the particular substance, formulation, indication, and pharmacy pathway rather than relying on the broad term “peptide therapy.”
What It Does in the Body
GHRP-2 acts through a growth hormone secretagogue receptor associated with ghrelin signaling. That pathway interacts with the wider endocrine system. Its effect cannot be understood solely as “more growth hormone”: appetite and other hormonal responses matter, and a short-lived biochemical change is not interchangeable with correcting a confirmed hormone deficiency. For the uses discussed here, reliable clinical onset, peak benefit, and duration are not established. Route-specific human peak exposure and persistence cannot be inferred from community schedules or a laboratory response.
Benefits & Reported Experiences
Online comparisons often ask which secretagogue is strongest. A better clinical question is which option has demonstrated the desired outcome in people with the same condition. Without that match, increased hormone release cannot predict muscle gain, better sleep, or reduced fatigue, and a promised week-by-week transformation would overstate the evidence.
Side Effects & Risks
Uncertainty includes both the compound’s biological effects and the quality of a proposed preparation. Clinicians should consider other endocrine medicines, metabolic conditions, and the reasons symptoms appeared. Do not interpret an absence of recorded events on a community website as a measured low risk; informal reports lack a dependable denominator.
Delivery Options
Route matters. Injection, nasal exposure, and oral products can have different absorption and safety profiles, so a study of one does not validate the others. An online vial size also says nothing about an appropriate patient dose. This article supplies no preparation, administration technique, or conversion instructions.
Product Quality & Storage
For any lawful proposed medicine, the prescriber should be able to explain who produces it and how identity, concentration, and quality are assured. For an investigational product, protocol oversight and informed consent are additional requirements. Research-only supply is not a substitute for either system, and chemical testing alone is not clinical validation. Storage must follow the authorized finished product’s labeling or an approved study protocol; temperatures and beyond-use times cannot be inferred from research-vial guidance.
Combinations & Interactions
Combining GHRP-2 with other secretagogues or growth hormone-releasing hormone analogs is discussed online. Complementary mechanisms are a reason to study a combination, not proof that it is safer or more effective. Ask whether the exact combination has human outcome and safety evidence; single-compound findings cannot answer that question.
Talking With Your Provider
If fatigue, recovery, or body composition prompted the search, start with that concern rather than committing to a particular peptide. A clinician can review likely causes and established options, clarify the evidence gaps, and determine whether further endocrine assessment is appropriate.
